Latinx and Southwestern Studies –
American Studies at the University of Gdansk has for the past two decades developed many connections with American universities in the Southwest focusing especially but not only on the Latinx cultures. Many Chicanx and other artists and scholars of the region have visited us and collaborated with our scholars and students. The Latinx and Southwestern Studies at the IBSC is an initiative which will focus on fostering the growth of the existing connections and on stimulating new collaborations in the field of Southwestern borderlands studies and in the broad field of Latnx cultural studies.
